Pressure Washer Hose Reels
In order to maximize cleaning using a pressure washer without having to drag the unit each time you move at least three feet away means you need to have a longer pressure washer hose, say about 100 feet. The advantage of having a longer hose means you can move freely doing your pressure washing without having to worry whether the hose will reach or not. Despite this advantage, having a longer hose can also present a disadvantage as you need to collect the hose after each use. If the hose is not collected properly, it is likely to occupy a larger space than it really should. To avoid this dilemma, you need to have a pressure washer hose reels.
Hose reels are great to have because they help to facilitate the unwinding and winding of pressure washer hoses. This means you do not have to worry about collecting the hose as the hose reels have been designed for this purpose. They not only save time in collecting the hose for storage, but they also help to make hoses last longer. Hose reels can be made of steel, wood, or plastic.
There are actually different types of hose reels available, such as collapsible reels, live connection reels, portable reels, storage reels, etc. The collapsible reel is made to reduce the storage space needed for pressure washers, making them ideal when shipping hoses. Live connection reels on the other hand contain a special hardware which allows the continuous flow of pressure even if the hose is still on the reel. Portable reels are, well, portable as they come with a handle for carrying. Storage reels are meant for storing the hose for longer periods.
There are two ways a hose reel can be wounded – either automatically or manually. Automatic wounding reels have motorized reels that run on electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, or internal spring system. Manual wounding reels requires a bit of an elbow grease to operate which can be accomplished through its hand crank. Among the two, many prefer, of course, the automatic wounding hose reel because not only is it faster and efficient in collecting the hose, but you also do not have to break a sweat trying.
